A Dragon called the other day and stopped to chat with me
in passing here along the way , he thought he’d stop for tea
I served him up a large green pot , full of steaming brew
he sat and drank the entire lot and asked me if I knew
of Bledri Bach and Ffynnon Well and of the boy called Eian
and if I did, then would I tell and said his name was Brian
I told the Dragon there and then that Bledri Bach was near
and how young Eian loves it when he tricks me, Brian , dear
to all of this, Brian declares “ it’s good that you should know,
that many spirits, some in pairs, are found in your hedgerow “
they gather here to say to you, your welcome to this land
be careful of the things you do, it’s really very grand
And now I must be on my way and thank you for the tea
perhaps I’ll call again one day and sit a while with thee
then Brian stood up, stretched his wings , now really , I must go
Pen-Ffynnons full of special things…just go and ask the Crow
into the fading light he flew and soon , Brian was gone
I know that what he said is true, believe me everyone
